The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill

Further to the publication of the draft Protect Duty legislation, (The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill), please find attached the draft Standard Terrorism Evaluation template and guidance documents for you to download.
This can be used as presented, or developed into a corporate document for both internal and external use.
Of course, as it is in draft, it is subject to change but offers an idea of what will be required at the ‘Standard’ level (capacity 100 to 799).
At this stage, it appears likely that most of the Council’s premises will fall into scope of the legislation (I am currently reviewing what is in scope and will update soon).
The documentation recommends that the staff awareness of their obligations are included as part of the induction process, so I would suggest that HR may need to be involved.
I am sure that additional information will emerge as the process develops, so I will keep an eye on proceedings.
