The Joint Security and Resilience Centre (JSaRC), is part of the Home Office’s Homeland Security Group (HSG) and aims to bring together government, academic, and private sectors to collectively plan for, identify and respond to evolving security threats to our citizens, businesses and national interests both here and abroad.
We seek to do this by overcoming the traditional barriers that have prevented collaboration between the private and the public sectors by improving the understanding both sectors have of each other, and of the key issues and trends that have an impact on the UK’s security and resilience.
A key aspect of any such activity is people – be it those working in core/front-line positions within or outside the security sector, or those providing related support services be it training, marketing or other forms of business support that are security focussed - that said, there appears to be a scarcity of up-to-date, sector-specific information available to JSaRC and partners that describe the security workforce, it’s capabilities and the associated training and development needs.
With this in mind then, we have drawn up a short web survey to collect this information - focussing in particular upon recruitment, staff skills, development, and associated support requirements within the security sector.
We hope that you will be able to respond to the survey and would also appreciate your circulating this invitation amongst others within your network that may be able to contribute - it should only take around 15 minutes to complete and any information provided will of course be treated in strictest confidence.
Please click here to take the survey if you are an employer Please click here to take the survey if you are a trade body, training provider or another part of the support network
